Dr. Ramage has been with MedCenter One and McKenzie County Healthcare Systems in Watford City, ND, since 1996. Over the last 20 years he has served as the General Practitioner, Chief of Staff, Director of Ambulance Service, Director of Nursing Home, County and City Health Officer, and Aviation Medical Examiner.
Dr. Ramage attended the University of Saskatchewan where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Biology and Physiology as well as his Doctorate of Medicine. He is also a licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. Following medical school, he participated in a rotating internship with the Greater Victoria Hospital Society. Having toured in Haiti and Rwanda from 1992 to 1994, he served as a Military Flight Surgeon, Military Base Surgeon, and practiced Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine with the Canadian Armed Forces. Dr. Ramage’s medical certifications include, but are not limited to: North Dakota State Board of Medical Examiners, Clinical Instructor of the Rural Medicine Program at the University of North Dakota, FAA Aviation Medical Examiner, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Ramage is an avid golfer and has been listed in Golf Digest’s Top 100 Physician Golfers in the USA. Additionally, he achieved successful ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro. With a lengthy past of lifeguarding experience, Dr. Ramage penned the “Aquatic Emergency Care” first aid manual. He and his wife, Pam, are the proud parents of two children.
