Nutrition Services

MCHS employs two Certified Dietary Managers who manage the dietary staff of 19 people and the day to day operations of the centralized dietary department and kitchen located at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. A consulting dietitian is on site twice a month to monitor residents' and patients' nutritional status and offer outpatient consults by appointment.

Comprehensive nutrition assessments: Assessments for residents and swing bed patients are conducted to identify goals for improving nutritional intake and health. Individualized care plans are designed to meet the patient's and resident's specific needs. Nutrition education: Patients receive nutrition education as needed. Outpatient nutrition education is offered by appointment.
