 The Emergency/Trauma Center

At McKenzie County HealthCare Systems our Emergency/Trauma Center (ETC) is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.  We are certified as a Level 5 Trauma Center.  The entire hospital and medical staff are committed to excellence in emergency care.  The purpose of the ETC is to care for patients in our community requiring emergency care.  The care is provided through an organized multi-disciplinary team approach. 

The team includes: 

  • Medical Providers
  • Registered Nurses
  • Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Certified Nursing Assistants
  • Nursing Assistants
  • Lab Technicians
  • Physical Therapists
  • Respiratory Therapists
  • and Radiology Technicians. 
Emergency Trauma Center

This team is specially trained and ready to respond immediately to your needs.

Our Medical Providers are all board certified providers and specially trained in trauma.  Our Medical Director participates in the leadership and quality improvement of our emergency care.  

Specialized services include:

  • Computerized Tomography (CT) - available 24 hours a day.

Ground Ambulance or Air Ambulance are available to transport injured patients to definitive trauma care centers.  The majority of symptoms seen in the ETC include pain management, cardiac or stroke symptoms, trauma and fever and the most frequent patient populations are:  trauma, medical, cardiac and pulmonary.  We are here to serve you!
