Visiting Nurse Service

McKenzie County Clinic offers Visiting Nurse Services for all Medicare-eligible residents of McKenzie County.

Qualifications are simple:

You must require some type of skilled nursing service, for example:

  • Wound Care
  • Blood Draw
  • Teaching
  • Dressing Change
  • Assessment
  • IV Medications

  • You must be a resident (permanent or temporary) of McKenzie County
  • You must have Medicare (we hope to expand into other programs in the future)
  • You must be “homebound.”  That means that you need someone to help you get to your appointments, etc.

Some Examples of How We Can Help:

We can assist clients with a variety of skilled nursing services, such as learning a new medicine or procedure, monthly lab work, administering intramuscular or IV medications, post-surgical care, wound care, or recovery following a hospital stay.

Exclusions:

While Visiting Nurse Service is very similar to Home Health Care, we do not offer Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Home Health Aides.  The visiting nurse can however help you with home exercises and personal cares on a limited basis.  Please call for more details.
